In the world of many outlets for an individual to convey their thoughts and opinions, everyone has the opportunity to pick their favorite tool(s) to convey their message. The one that I have found that I like the most is Google+.
The first thing that I really liked about Google+ was Circles. I love knowing that I could place people into specific Circles, and my posts could be set up to only go to my Circles of choice. What made everything even better, was the fact that I didn’t even have to post to all of the people in a particular Circle. Translation, with Google+ I can send a post to one person, all of the people in a particular Circle, my choice of Circles, or the general public. This is something I found immediately beneficial to me, and an aspect that I plan to continue to utilize in the future.
The second thing that I really enjoy about Google+ is the ability to include an entire post, as opposed to a particular limitation of characters. Translation, when someone posts something on Google+ I no longer have to navigate to another website to see all of the information, as it can all be seen in my Google+ Stream.
The final thing that I would currently like to address about Google+ is the Hangout. This is a very useful tool for collaboration with others. Like everything else in Google+, a Hangout is very easy to set up, and the experience was very beneficial. If you have multiple people in a Hangout, each time an individual talks, the camera view is focused on that person. This makes it very easy to have a conversation over a Hangout, especially when collaborating on projects. Google+ is currently still in beta, but I am really looking forward to the other technological advances offered by this project.
