So I haven’t posted anything in awhile due to the time I have spent busy at work, dealing with my house flooding, spending time learning more about anatomy, and trying to figure out how to use Corel Painter and Photoshop effectively. As part of my studying, I have purchased some of the tutorials that are available from the Massive Black artists and ConceptArt.org
If you have never checked out their work, or their tutorials I highly recommend them. They not only go through their methods of creating various works of art, but they give a lot of information on ways to do things in Photoshop and Painter that I didn’t know how to do before. The videos that have helped me the most so far are those of Jason Chan and Nox. I have also picked up videos from Zhang Lu and Jason Manley, Andrew Jones (Android), Coro, Dan Dos Santos, and Mike Bierek, but I have learned the most from Jason and Nox so far.
Nonetheless, I am looking forward to using what I have learned in my work in the near future and getting some posts up to showcase what I have learned. Until then, get over to ConceptArt.org and pick up some of the tutorials and learn some things like I have. Cheers!
